Account Information

Vehicle and License Plate Information
The service may allow users to provide or associate vehicle-related information with an account, including country, state or jurisdiction, license plate identifiers, and other vehicle information.
License plate information may also be submitted by another user when using features such as gifting or attempting to identify a vehicle within the service. As a result, a license plate identifier may be stored or processed before the owner or associated user has created an account or claimed that identifier.
We use this information to provide vehicle-based app functionality, associate eligible vehicles or identifiers with accounts, facilitate gifting and related interactions, prevent misuse, and operate the service.
QR Codes and Identifiers
The app may generate or process QR codes, account identifiers, vehicle identifiers, or similar codes used to connect users and app features.
These identifiers may be associated with account, vehicle, collection, or transaction information as necessary to provide the requested feature.
Collections and App Activity
We may collect and maintain information about your activity within the app, including ducks you own, duplicate ducks, collections, achievements, rewards, crates, Duck Bucks balances, gifting and trading activity, friends or other social connections, and related account history.
This information is used to maintain your account, provide app features, synchronize your collection, prevent fraud and abuse, and operate the virtual economy.
Purchases and Transactions
We may maintain records relating to purchases, virtual currency, crates, virtual items, transaction status, transaction identifiers, and related account activity.
Purchases made through an app store or other authorized payment provider are processed by the applicable provider. We may receive transaction information necessary to verify and fulfill a purchase, but payment providers may process payment-card, billing, or other financial information under their own privacy policies.
Gifting and Trading
When you gift, receive, or trade an eligible virtual item, we may process information about the participants, virtual items involved, vehicle or account identifiers used to facilitate the interaction, timestamps, status, and related transaction history.
We may retain appropriate transaction records for account integrity, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, and operation of the service.
Public and Social Information
Certain information may be visible to other users when you choose to participate in public or social features.
Depending on the features available, this may include your username, profile information, collection, selected ducks, achievements, or other information that the app identifies as visible to other users.
You should not include sensitive personal information in usernames, profile fields, or other information intended to be publicly visible.
Camera Access
The app may request access to your device's camera for features such as scanning QR codes.
Camera permission is requested through your device's permission system. You may deny or revoke camera access through your device settings, although features requiring the camera may not function without that permission.
Access to the camera does not by itself mean that photographs or video are uploaded or stored by us. If a future feature collects or uploads camera content, this Privacy Policy and any required in-app disclosures will be updated as appropriate.
Notifications
If you enable notifications, we or our service providers may process device or notification identifiers needed to deliver notifications about account activity, gifts, achievements, transactions, service information, or other app features.
You can control notification permissions through your device settings.
Technical and Usage Information
When you use the service, we and our service providers may automatically process technical information necessary to operate and secure the app.
Depending on the technologies used, this may include device and operating system information, app version, network information, IP address, timestamps, authentication events, error and crash information, diagnostic information, and interactions with app features.

How We Disclose Information

Information you make publicly available or intentionally share with another user may be seen, copied, or retained by that user. We cannot control how another user independently uses information they receive outside the service.
Business Transfers
If The Duck App is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, sale of assets, transfer of the service, or similar transaction, information may be transferred or disclosed as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.
Legal and Safety Disclosures
We may preserve, access, use, or disclose information when we reasonably believe doing so is necessary to comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request; enforce our agreements; detect or prevent fraud, security incidents, or abuse; protect the rights, property, or safety of The Duck App, our users, or others; or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide and secure the service, maintain your account, fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and abuse, enforce agreements, and protect our legitimate interests.

When information is no longer reasonably necessary for these purposes, we may delete, anonymize, or otherwise dispose of it as appropriate and as required by applicable law.
Account and Data Deletion
You may request deletion of your account through the account deletion features made available by the app. Deleting an account may permanently remove your account, collection, progress, virtual items, profile information, and other data associated with the account.
We may retain limited information after an account deletion request where retention is reasonably necessary or legally permitted for purposes such as fraud prevention, security, financial or transaction recordkeeping, compliance with legal obligations, dispute resolution, or the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims.
Information that has been lawfully anonymized or aggregated so that it no longer identifies you may also be retained.
Unclaimed Vehicle or Plate Information
Certain vehicle or license plate identifiers may be submitted to the service by a user before the associated person creates or claims an account. Such information may be retained as reasonably necessary to provide pending gifting or vehicle-based functionality, prevent abuse, maintain service integrity, or comply with applicable requirements.
Where required by applicable law, we will provide appropriate mechanisms for eligible individuals to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information associated with them.
Your Choices
Depending on the feature and your location, you may be able to control certain information through account settings, device permissions, privacy controls, or requests submitted to us.
You may revoke device permissions, such as camera or notification permissions, through your device settings. Revoking a permission may prevent features that depend on that permission from functioning.
